In this course, students will build on their language learning from Level 9. This will prepare students to engage with sophisticated topics through critical thinking, precise language use, and cross-cultural communication. This course builds upon previous levels and encourages students to explore real-world issues, cultural perspectives, and formal and informal communication styles in greater depth.

Each unit is structured around engaging global themes such as international greetings, cultural identity, and world traditions. Students explore these topics through a progression of skills-based lessons that integrate academic vocabulary, complex grammar, multimodal reading and listening tasks, and genre-based writing projects. The curriculum is designed to help students confidently express themselves in both spoken and written English, while also expanding their understanding of how language is used in academic, professional, and global settings.

Students are challenged with high-level vocabulary acquisition and contextual application, including idiomatic expressions, collocations, and culturally nuanced phrases. Grammar instruction focuses on more advanced structures, such as modals for advice and obligation, subordinate clauses for expanded meaning, similes and metaphors for descriptive writing, article usage, and both countable and uncountable noun phrases. Learners apply these skills through written compositions and interactive classroom discussions, building both accuracy and fluency.

Reading and listening activities feature a variety of text types, including informational passages, fictional narratives, and formal letters. Students are trained to analyze content for meaning, structure, tone, and purpose. Listening comprehension includes real-world audio scenarios to develop auditory processing skills and improve natural understanding. Speaking practice emphasizes appropriate tone and formality, encouraging students to distinguish between professional and casual speech through role-plays, group discussions, and presentations.

In Level 10, it will include writing projects in each unit guide students through brainstorming, planning, drafting, and revision. Tasks include persuasive letters, opinion essays, reflective compositions, and informational responses. The emphasis is placed on clarity, grammar control, vocabulary depth, and overall cohesion. Additionally, phonics and pronunciation activities are included to support articulation and spoken fluency, especially when presenting ideas aloud.
